*Sugaring is NOT advised for people suffering from cold sores/herpes as the sugaring process can exacerbate or cause an outbreak of the virus.

*SUGARING can NOT be performed on persons taking Accutane!! You must wait 6 months after completing the treatment to be sugared.

*FACIAL Sugaring can NOT be performed on persons taking Retinols, Retin-A, Renova, Differin or any other skin thinning prescription. You must wait 3 months after completeing the prescription treatment to be sugared.

*FACIAL sugaring can NOT be performed on persons who have had recent facial peels or recent micro dermabrasion. It is advisable to wait 2 weeks before getting sugared.

*FACIAL Sugaring is NOT advised for persons using the Obagi line or other skin thinning treatment lines. Facial Sugaring while taking these medications can result in facial skin removal.

CAUTION: If you are currently using any of the following, please inform your technician. These products can make the skin more sensitive. Thin, sensitive skin is more vulnerable to lifting and sensitivity during sugaring OR waxing. Other Acne medications not listed above: Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic)- Oral Antibiotics - Topical Antibiotics - Retinol - Salicylic Acid - Benzoyl Peroxide - Exfoliants
 

PRECAUTIONS & CONSIDERATIONS: Please read these valuable guidelines:



Sunburned or irritated areas cannot be sugared or waxed

Moles cannot be sugared or waxed.

You must wait a minimum of seven (7) days before sugaring or waxing after a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion.

Sugaring/Waxing cannot be performed if you have had laser skin resurfacing within the past year.

Sugaring/Waxing cannot be performed if you have had a physician administered peel within the past two (2) years.

If irritation should occur, it is recommended you use an antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin to keep the area continually moist to avoid infection and scabbing.

No sun for 12 hours following a sugaring/waxing treatment.

No hot baths for 24 hours following a body sugaring/waxing treatment.

No abrasives for 24 hours following a sugaring/waxing treatment.

Deodorants applied within 24 hours following an underarm sugaring/waxing treatment COULD cause irritation.

Women may experience extra sensitivity to sugaring/waxing up to a week prior to the beginning of their menses.

*Persons using TOPICAL (not oral) facial prescriptions can be safely sugared on all other body parts.
